It has been awhile since I posted to my blog - and to be honest, I wasn't very good at it! So I am back to try it again! I promise to be much more consistent with my posts than I have been in the past! So if you had visited my blog before & stopped because it wasn't very consistent, then give me another chance!
As many of you have are aware, the news media continues to talk about how bad the market is - and how the market hasn't yet bottomed out - and how prices will be dropping next year - and no one knows when the end is in sight. And, although I wouldn't say it is the "end of the world as we know it" (as the news media continues to tell us), I would say that the real estate market continues to be a very tough market. But there are glimmers of light out there! For instance, I have found that for some of my first time homebuyers there are still some really great deals out there! And the interest rates are still great - the lender in my office just told me today that the VHDA rates had just dropped down to 6.125! How great is that! And sellers may be grumbling, but at the end of the day, they are willing to come off their prices pretty significantly in order to get their homes sold! So, the lesson here, if you are thinking of buying a home for the first time, don't be shy - you can become a homeowner! If you are thinking of buying a home - whether for the first time or as a move up buyer - let me know what some of your concerns are!
